Pristine ‘Non-Import’ Fat Gripped Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

A superb example of the rare and desirable Fat Gripped Second Pattern F-S. Condition appears to be unused, which is even more extraordinary as this example is ‘not’ stamped with the import mate, so an issued knife. Also, possible identification to the original owner as the back of the scabbard has some initials and a name, now difficult to read. The only marking on the knife is the MoS inspection/ownership stamp of ⩚1 stamped on the grip. Retaining around 100% original dark finish overall. Intact and untouched pommel nut. Full length blade at 6 5/8” with no signs of sharpening and a perfect, original blade tip. The scabbard is fully intact with elastic retaining strap (now fragile) and both wings, some stitching to the frog is fragile but still intact. From photographic evidence, the Fat Grip F-S variation is known to have been carried by the SAS. This example is superb in every respect, it appears unused, in original untouched condition ‘and’ has no import stamp, so an issued knife. A very rare find indeed.
