Fine Late-War Third Pattern ⩚13 F-S Fighting Knife

A very fine example of a circa 1944/45 Third Pattern F-S Fighting Knife complete with its original and correct scabbard. This example has the MoS stamp of what looks like ⩚13 - the second digit being difficult to read due to slightly miss-stamped. The crossguard has the import stamp. The pommel has the correct wartime cast number of ‘2’ and the pommel nut is original and untouched. The blade is full length at 6 7/8” and retains most of it’s original finish. Overall the knife appears mostly unused, with just handling, storage wear and softening to the blades tip. The scabbard is fully intact, the elastic retaining strap having been replaced. An excellent example of an original wartime F-S that presents well.
