Rare Issued/Carried Fat Gripped ⩚1 Second Pattern F-S With Incredibly Rare Correct Scabbard - SAS Interest..!

Well, there is an awful lot to get excited about this knife. First off, it’s a rare Fat Gripped Second Pattern, these were known to have been issued and used by the Special Air Service as there is a surviving photograph of a SAS Trooper in France carrying one. This example is a ‘non’ import knife (no England stamp), so this F-S was actually issued, carried and used. And if it couldn’t get any better, this comes with it’s incredibly rare original and correct ‘fat chapped’ scabbard, with wings cut (showing it was carried correctly) and now missing its elastic retaining strap. This condition of this rare F-S is very fine too, showing general signs of being carried and used but not abused. Much of it’s original finish remains. The hand-ground blade showing full length, just shy of 6 3/4”. The ferrule portion of the grip being correctly stamped with the MoS inspection/ownership stamp of ⩚1. The pommel nut is untouched, original and correct. Overall, we have a very rare F-S, of SAS interest and ticking all the boxes - fabulous..!
